VI Airlink is an airline from the British Virgin Islands. The airline operates mostly chartered short-haul flights throughout the Caribbean from its base at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island, using a fleet of three aircraft - a Beechcraft 1900 Beechcraft King Air and a Cessna 402.
VI Airlink, also known as Virgin Islands Airlink serves five destinations in three countries using a fleet of a Beechcraft 1900, a Beechcraft King Air and a Cessna 402 aircraft.
In 2012 the airline was approved by the United States Federal Aviation Authority to fly directly to the United States, the first overseas territory carrier to gain access since 1993.
Baggage Policy
VI Airlink has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage.
Carry-on Baggage
Vi Airlink passengers are permitted a hand baggage allowance of 5kg which is included in the cost of the ticket. There is no baggage allowance for infants.
Checked Baggage
The checked baggage allowance for Vi Airlink passengers is 20kg, which is included in the cost of the ticket. Extra baggage can then be purchased at an additional cost.
Check-In
You can check in for your Vi Airlink from two hours before your scheduled flight departure. Check-in closes one hour before your flight leaves.

VI Airlink is set to face increased competition as he US Department of Transportation (DOT) has granted BVI Airways (4V, Beef Island) exemption authority while deferring a decision on its application for a Foreign Air Carrier Permit (FACP).
In its Notice of Action Taken issued on Friday, April 29, the DOT said objections set forth by VI Airlink (V6, Beef Island) and interCaribbean Airways (JY, Providenciales) were insufficient to warrant the withholding of authorization.
BVI Airways has said that with the DOT green light in hand, it plans to start a 4x weekly service from Beef Island to each of Miami Int'l and San Juan Luis Muñoz Marin increasing to daily as market requirements dictate. Service will be onboard one of its two ARJ-100s. VI Airlink now connects with Virgin Atlantic and British Airwas, and offers flights to Antigua on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
