Hong Kong Seaplanes is a startup airline set to begin seaplane flights by mid 2021. As of January 2021, the airline is seeking approval and looking to gain certification which will enable it to commence operations.

Hong Kong Seaplanes is a startup seaplane airline based in Hong Kong, with plans to operate private and scheduled seaplane flights out of Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong.
Once launched, the airline will begin by providing aerial sightseeing tours and ad-hoc air taxi flights. This is the first phase of the airline’s launch plan. The second phase will see Hong Kong Seaplanes offering regular scheduled air shuttle services between Hong Kong and destinations in the Greater Bay Area. This phase is expected to begin from June 2021. The airline’s air shuttle flights will be bookable via a special app (expected to work a bit like Uber), with millions of pounds already invested into this project by the airline’s investors. In the long term, over the next few years, the airline also hopes to begin operating international flights to nearby countries in Asia.

Victoria Harbour
Victoria Harbour is a natural harbour separating Hong Kong Island, in the south, from the Kowloon Peninsula to the north. The harbour is a major tourist attraction of Hong Kong.
Waterfront Air, a small private airline, previously introduced seaplane services from Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour. However, in 2014 the airline cancelled these plans to focus on services in the Chinese mainland.
There are currently no other operators providing seaplane services from Victoria Harbour.
Fleet
Seaplane Hong Kong has selected the DHC-6 Twin Otter for its seaplane operations. The Twin Otter can carry up to 19 passengers. By the end of 2021, the airline aims to have two aircraft, and six by the end of 2022.
