About Lübeck Air
Lübeck Air was a German virtual airline offering both charter and scheduled services from Lübeck Airport. Scheduled flights were operated by their Danish partner Alsie Express. The airline was founded in 2020, but because of COVID-19, the operation date was delayed to August 2020, operating just domestic German flights.
The airline didn't own a fleet of aircraft but their flights were often flown by ATR72s. Not only did they have a good connection with Air Alsie, but they were also a close partner with Lübeck Airport.
Baggage Policy
Lübeck Air had different baggage policies for carry-on and checked baggage.
Carry-on Baggage
Passengers were entitled to carry-on luggage not exceeding 8kg (17lbs) in weight and 55cm x 40cm x 23cm (21" x 15" x 9"). This carry-on baggage had to fit in the overhead locker or under the seat.
Checked Baggage
Tickets from Lübeck Air already included one or two pieces of checked baggage not heavier than 23kg (50lbs) each. These conditions varied depending on the route and the fare class purchase. Passengers were advised to check their e-ticket for confirmation or contact our customer service team if the ticket was bought from us.

Cabin Classes
At Lübeck Air, fares were divided into 3 classes, Silber, Gold and Diamant. All three classes had the option to travel with one carry-on baggage and one checked baggage.
Silber: Cancellation and name change was not permitted
Gold: Passengers could cancel their flights or change their name with a fee applied
Diamant: All benefits above were included as well as lounge access
Check-In
Lübeck Air passengers could choose to check in online or at the airport.
Online Check-in
Online check-in was available via the airline website. It opened 24 hours before the scheduled departure time regardless of the location of the departing airport. Passengers would need to enter their ticket reference and their passport details when checking in online.
Passengers would be able to obtain their boarding pass by checking in online. Passengers could proceed straight to security when arriving at the airport if no checked baggage needs to be transported.
Airport Check-in
At Lübeck Blankensee Airport, check-in counters opened 90 minutes before departure and closed 30 minutes before departure. Passengers were advised to check in 60 minutes before departure time at other airports. Any passenger that checked in late could risk losing their seat and may have had to pay a late fee to the airline.

The airline didn't offer any frequent flyer programme.

Lübeck Air wasn't part of any global airline alliances.

As of January 2022, Lübeck Air operated scheduled flights to 16 destinations including Lubeck, Munich and Stuttgart, Ibiza, Dublin and more. The airline also operated charter flights on an executive jet for corporate clients, and this could be booked via the airline website.

Lübeck Blankensee Airport
Lübeck Blankensee Airport (LBC) is an airport situated 8km from the centre of Lübeck. The airport went a period of bankruptcy between 2014 and March 2016 and it was accommodating low-cost airlines before that period. Until January 2020, the airport decided to launch its own airline Lübeck Air. Hence, Lübeck Air was the only airline operating at the airport. Today, the airport is served by Smartwings and Sundair on a seasonal basis.
The airport consists of one runway and a small passenger terminal, suitable for Airbus A320s, ATR72 and general aviation aircraft.
