Kharkiv Airlines has ceased operations
Kharkiv Airlines was a Ukrainian airline based in Kharkiv. Kharkiv Airlines was founded in 1998 and operated flights until 2001. In 2012, plans to resume the airline began. Renamed Kharkiv Airlines, on June 6 2013 the renewed airline made its first flight on a new Boeing 737-800NG from Kharkiv to Antalya (Turkey).
Kharkiv Airlines operated charter flights to Antalya, Sharm-el-Sheikh and Hurghada from Kyiv, Kharkiv and Lviv. Kharkiv Airlines had planned to develop the passenger traffic in the neighbouring regions, however, it unfortunately retired its fleet of Boeing 737 and 767 aircraft and no longer operated any flights.
Destinations
Kharkiv Airlines' charter flights flew between the following cities:
- Antalya
- Sharm-el-Sheikh
- Hurghada
- Kyiv
- Kharkiv
- Lviv
The airline had also been offering daily scheduled flights from Kharkiv and Odessa to Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport, in Turkey, from October 2014 shortly before it retired its fleet.
Baggage Policy
Kharkiv Airlines had different rules for carry-on and checked baggage.
Carry-on Baggage
All passengers were allowed free carry-on baggage:
- Economy: 7kg
- Business: 10 kg
Checked Baggage
All passengers were allowed free checked baggage:
- Business Class: 2 units, the maximum weight of each - 23 kg / sum of three dimensions of each (length x width x height) could not exceed 158 cm.
- Economy Class: 1 unit, the maximum weight - 23 kg / sum of the three dimensions (length x width x height) could not exceed 158 cm.
Cabin Classes
The aircraft had a maximum capacity of 220 passengers. The cabin was configured with two cabin classes: Business and Economy.
Economy Class
Blankets were provided for all passengers, available on request. Sandwiches and hot/cold beverages were provided during your flight. There was a minimum distance of 29 inches between rows, with padded headrests and fold-down trays for your laptop.
Business Class
As well as the facilities provided to economy passengers, business passengers could make the most of a separate check-in desk, priority boarding and exit and baggage collection.
Check-In
Check-in opened 3 hours before and closed 40 minutes before scheduled departure
