About Iceland Express

Iceland Express was a low-cost Icelandic airline. Iceland Express was headquartered in Reykjavík, Iceland and operated scheduled flights to a number of destinations across Europe using wet-leased aircraft.

Iceland Express began its operations in February 2003 but in 2012, Iceland Express ended operations. Wow Air acquired Iceland Express and took over its operations.

Destinations

Iceland Express flew to a number of destinations across Europe and North America until it was acquired by Wow Air in 2012. Iceland Express flew to New York, Winnipeg, Oslo, Birmingham, Alicante, Barcelona, Milan, Geneva, London and many more!

Baggage

Carry-on Baggage

Iceland Express allowed passengers to bring one piece of hand baggage onboard. The dimensions of the carry-on could not exceed 55x35x25cm (21x14x10 inches). Iceland Express also allowed passengers to bring one personal item including a handbag, a coat, and a laptop computer. The total weight of your carry-on and the personal item could not exceed 10 kg (22 lbs). Your carry-on baggage would be considered as checked baggage if it exceeded the carry-on rules.

Iceland Express allowed passengers to bring 1 piece of checked baggage weighing no more than 20kg.

Iceland Express didn't offer an online check-in service.

Airport Check-In

Iceland Express passengers were advised to arrive at least 3 hours prior to the flight departure time.

Seat Selection

Iceland Express seats were displayed in a 3 x 3 configuration. The seats were padded which allowed passengers onboard Iceland Express to enjoy a comfortable and relaxed flight journey. Passengers were allocated a seat when checking in at the airport kiosk.
