Carry-on baggage 🎒

• Passengers are permitted two free carry-on bags, each weighing no more than 7kg.
• The larger bag cannot exceed 56 x 36 x 25 cm.
• The smaller bag cannot exceed 40 x 15 x 20 cm.

Checked baggage 🧳

• Lite Fare: free 7kg hand luggage allowance only.
• Standard Fare: one piece of complimentary 20kg checked baggage and 7 kg hand luggage. Bags weighing over 20 kg will incur a heavy luggage fee at the airport.
• Business Fare: two complimentary 23kg of checked-in baggage, and 7 kg of hand luggage.

Things to be aware of ✏️

• Hand luggage pieces are not allowed to be larger than 56 x 36 x 23 cm.
• Checked-in baggage must not be larger than 90 x 75 x 43 cm in size.
• A single extra checked-in bag can be booked no later than 2 hours before flight departure at the airport or online for a fee.

• FlySafair recommends that all passengers arrive at least 90 minutes before their flight is scheduled to depart to allow time to check in and pass through security.
• Airport check-in closes 40 minutes before flight departure time.

Business 🎫  

• FlySafair's luxury fare type - Perfect for customers wanting to relax while they fly.
• 1 x 7kg hand baggage.

• Snack voucher.
• Unlimited free flight changes (must pay cost of ticket difference).

Food and drinks from FlySafair's in-flight menu can be purchased onboard. FlySafair's flights are cashless and so anything you buy onboard must be purchased with a debit or credit card.

Available snacks and refreshments include:

• Sandwiches such as pastrami and cheese, chicken mayonnaise, and cheese, tomato and basil pesto.
• Snacks including NikNaks, Pringles, mixed tree nuts, droëwors and sliced biltong.
• Sweet treats like muffins, chocolate bars and cookies.

Depending on the fare rules of your ticket, you may be able to change the date of your flight, but usually for a small fee.

Some tickets are refundable. If you cancel and your ticket permits refunds, then your refund will be in the form of flight credit, which will go to your FlySafair wallet.
