Buy Felix Airways with Alternative Airlines

Felix Airways, also referred to as Al Saeeda, is a regional airline in Yemen. The airline was established in 2008 as a subsidiary of Yemen's flag carrier airline, Yemenia. It was formed as a way to meet the growing demand for low-cost travel in the region.

Unfortunately, since 2015, Felix Airways' flights have been continuously disrupted due to the ongoing military conflict taking place at its hub, Sana'a International Airport. Felix Airways used to operate over 50 flights a week, but has had to severely reduce its operations due to the conflict and siege in the region - it now only operates 3 flights a week.

Felix Airways operates flights to a range of cities across the Middle East including Dubai and Socotra, among others.

Baggage Policy

Checked Baggage

Passengers are permitted up to 2 pieces of free checked baggage that mustn't exceed the dimensions of 56 x 36 x 23 cm.

Cabin Classes

Felix Airways offers only one cabin class - this is Economy Class.

There's usually no inflight entertainment system available on flights with Economy Class.

Economy Class Seats

Seats may be set out in either a 1 x 2 or 2 x 2 formation. Each seat is designed to give enough space for a comfortable and relaxed journey.

Check-In

Online check-in isn't available as of yet, therefore passengers will need to check in for their flight at the airport.

Hub Airport

Sana'a International Airport

Sana'a International Airport is the main international airport of Yemen and is situated in Yemen's capital, Sanaa. The airport started off at a small passenger terminal in the 1970s but later became a shared public/military base with several fighter jets and transport aircraft owned by the Yemeni Air Force.

Between 2015 and 2017, the airport was targeted by the Royal Saudi Air Force and was bombed multiple times resulting in severe damage to the runway and passenger terminal building. Because of this, Saudi authorities closed the airport and stopped all civilian flights. The airport was targeted again by Saudi Arabian airstrikes in December 2021 and became heavily damaged.

In May 2022, commercial flights finally resumed from the airport after six years of no use. Yemenia successfully flew to the Jordanian capital of Amman. In January 2023, it was announced that the airport was once again closed however Yemenia is still operating scheduled flights between Sana'a and Amman.

Fleet

As of February 2021, Felix Airways operates a fleet of 3 aircraft. These are the Bombardier CRJ200ER and the Bombardier CRJ700. Both of these aircraft can seat up to 60 passengers.

The airline did have another Bombardier CRJ700, however, this was destroyed in 2015 by the bombing at Sana'a International Airport.
