European Air Charter is a Bulgarian charter airline founded in 2000, it originally was launched as Bulgarian Air Charter before rebranding in May 2021. The airline operates flights on behalf of numerous European tour operators such as Balkan Holidays (Lebanon), Schauinsland Reisen, TUI as well as others. The airline has a fleet of Airbus A320 and McDonald Douglas MD-82 aircraft and used to operate older Tupolev TU-154s. The airline has an extensive route portfolio and operates to multiple countries in Europe and the Middle East, some of these include Germany, Kuwait, Israel, Finland, Denmark and many more.

There are different baggage policies for both checked and carry-on bags.
Carry-on Baggage
European Air Charter's aircraft can carry cabin baggage. However, the option for you to bring this on board is stipulated by your tour operator. The tour operator decides on their cabin baggage rules, not the airline. You should therefore check with the operator for these details. The airline requests that you follow EU law and only bring liquids under 100ml, bring electronic smoking devices onboard and do not carry illegal articles.
Checked Baggage
As the airline operates on behalf of tour operators the baggage allowance is decided by them and should be communicated to you at the time of booking. However, if your suitcase exceeds the allocated weight allowance set out by the tour operator then the airline can charge you a fee for this. The airline currently sets a surcharge of €8 per 1kg if paid for online. However, if you are at the airport and are faced with an excess baggage charge then this will increase to €10 per 1kg.
Cabin Classes
All of European Air Charter's aircraft have an economy only cabin. The inflight experience depends on the tour operator chartering the airline. To view what inflight service may be provided please check with your tour operator. The airline doesn't provide inflight Wifi, entertainment or seat plug sockets/USB ports. An inflight meal service, duty-free or beverage service is dependent on your tour operator so check with them before travelling.
Check-In
European Air Charter passengers must check in at the airport since the airline doesn't offer online check-in.
Online Check-in
Online check-in is not an option with the airline and must be conducted at the airport only. However, you can reserve your seat online via the airline's seat reservation system.
Airport Check-in
You can check-in at the airport up to 2 hours before departure. The airline usually closes their check-in facilities 40 mins before departure, if you miss this you will need to contact your tour operator to rebook your flight.

The airline has two major operating bases in the Bulgarian sea resorts of Burgas and Varna, where the majority of their routes arrive at or depart from. However, as the airline is chartered by international tour operators they are capable of operating from different cities. The airline has offices in Berlin, Burgas, Sofia and Varna. Other airlines that operate out of Varna Airport include Voyage Air and Bulgaria Air.
