Chukotavia is a Russian airline founded in 1996 as a merger of Anadyr and Chaunski Air. The airline was established to offer passenger, cargo and utility services across the Chukotka region in far-east Russia. The airline helps to transfer passengers from various towns and cities in the region as well as flying supplies and workers to various coal and oil plants around eastern Russia. The airline has a mixed fleet of both aircraft and helicopters with the airline operating Antonov An-24RV, An-26B, AN-26B100 as well as De Havilland Canada DHC-6 aircraft. The airline also has 10 Soviet-designed MIL Mi-8t and Mi-8MTV1 helicopters.
Baggage Policy
Chukotavia has different baggage policies for carry-on and checked baggage.
Carry-on Baggage
Chukotavia allows you to bring cabin baggage on board with you free of charge. The airline allows you to bring 5kg fitting into the defined 55x40x20 cm allowance, if you exceed this the airline has the right to refuse embarkation or can charge you excess baggage fees. However, on routes where checked baggage is not provided then your hand baggage mustn't exceed 203cm across the 3 measurements (HxWxD)and will be weighed prior to boarding.
Checked Baggage
The airline states that depending on the route you are entitled to bring a piece of checked luggage with you up to the weight of 32kg and fitting within the 203cm (HxWxD) allowance. Checked luggage should not exceed 50kg per bag, anything over 32kg and between 50kg will be considered overweight and a fee will be issued.
Cabin Classes
As the airline operates smaller aircraft on regional routes the airline only offers an economy product. on the De Havilland Canada and Antonov aircraft the seats are laid out in 2x2 rows. An inflight catering service is not provided by the airline
In-flight Entertainment & WIFI
Chukotavia has decided not to provide any inflight wifi, entertainment or charging facilities. This is due to the flights generally being short and the aircraft being too old to accommodate these facilities.

Online Check-in
Once you have purchased your ticket through the Chukotavia Online e-commerce site, you will be able to print your boarding pass online. You will be able to do this 48 hours before departure. You will still need to drop your luggage at the check-in facilities at the airport.
Airport Check-in
You are able to check-in at the airport on the date of your departure. The airline states that passengers should check-in 1 hour 20 minutes prior to departure and that they close their facilities 40 minutes before the scheduled departure.
