Asian Wings Airways has ceased operations
The airline suspended its last route (Yangon to Kyaukpyu) on 1st January 2019, meaning it joins other Malaysian airlines which have recently paused flying operations. This includes airlines such as Air Mandalay, APEX Airlines, Air Bagan and FMI Air.

Asian Wings Airways was a domestic airline based in Myanmar, offering regular flights to all major tourist destinations in Myanmar. Asian Wings Airways began operations on 27 January 2011 and is owned and operated by Sun Far Travels and Tours Company.
Currently a domestic airline, Asian Wings offers regular flights to all major tourist destinations in Myanmar, such as Yangon, Mandalay, Nyaung U (Bagan), Heho, Tachileik, Lashio, Monywa, Homalin, Naypyitaw, Myitkyina, Bhamo and Putao. Asian Wings is happy that to provide airline services to Chiang Mai as our first regional destination. In the very near future, Asian Wings Airways will extend its wings to regional destinations and thrive to become a reliable airline in Myanmar.
Although this airline ceased all flying operations in February 2019, the airline still retains its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC). This could mean that the airline plans to restart its flying operations soon.
