Alt Air is a new proposed airline in Australia looking to launch its services by late 2021. The airline is planning to fly to 10 regional destinations that include Palm Beach, Newcastle and Canberra’s Lake Burley Griffin using a fleet of Twin Otters and Cessna Caravans aircraft.
The airline plans to plans to expand its fleet to around 10 planes by the first half of 2022 to accommodate increased passengers across the newly scheduled services. Throughout 2022 it plans to operate flights to Port Stephens, Gosford, the Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie, Wollongong, Jervis Bay, Batemans Bay, Narooma, Lake Jindabyne, and the Central West.

Baggage Policy
Alt Air is yet to announce its baggage policies.
Carry-on Baggage
Carry-on baggage allowance information will be available closer to the airline launch date.
All carry-on items must fit within the overhead lockers and under the seat so that they could be secured during the flight for safety reasons. Any items exceeding the dimensions won't be accepted by the airline. These items are also subject to security checks at the airport.
Any prohibited items will be confiscated by security. Containers with any fluid should be placed in a plastic bag for airport security checks.
Checked Baggage
Checked baggage allowance details will be released closer to the launch date.
However, as a general rule, checked baggage must not exceed 32kg (70lbs) in weight or it may be treated as cargo.
Check-In
Alt Air hasn't announced any information about its check-in closing and opening times.
Online Check-in
Information on online check-in isn't currently available. Please visit the airline website for more information.
If online check-in is available, you're required to check-in online prior to arriving at the airport as you would save time from queuing up at the airport. You may be able to receive your boarding passes once the online check-in has been completed.
Airport Check-in
At Alternative Airlines, we require that you arrive at the airline check-in counters at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure time for domestic flights and 3 hours for international flights.
You should have your travel documents at hand and ready including a visa for entry if required and report to the airline check-in counters once you arrived at the airport. The airline check-in desks are located in the designated check-in area listed on the departure information board at the airport.
Frequent Flyer Programme
At the moment, it's not clear whether Alt Air would be offering a frequent flyer program.
More details will be released regarding the airline launch date.
