Airlink Finland is a virtual airline that is based in Savonlinna, Finland. All the flights the airline offers is operated by their commercial partner Budapest Aircraft Service using the Embraer 120 aircraft. The only route that the airline offers is between Savonlinna and Helsinki. This route is operated on the weekdays (Mon-Fri) only with two daily flights available. As of September 2020, Airlink (Finland) is the only carrier that flies the route, since Flybe ceased operation.
Baggage Policy
Airlink Finland has different baggage policies for carry-on and checked baggage.
Carry-on Baggage
Passengers are entitled to one free 12kg carry-on baggage onboard the aircraft. If there are any reasons that the aircraft cannot fulfil all carry-on baggage, the airline may ask the passenger to check-in their carry-on baggage for free. No dangerous goods are allowed onboard and the size of the carry-on baggage must comply with the airline policy.
Checked Baggage
A piece of free checked baggage is allowed for Airlink passengers, this baggage cannot be heavier than 23kg and it cannot be an oversized suitcase as the airline may charge extra. Excess baggage can be added to the booking when booking with Alternative Airlines. Simply add extra baggage at checkout.
Any baggage exceeding 32kg will not be accepted due to Health and Safety regulations.

Online Check-in
Online check-in is available via the airline website. Online check-in opens 36 hours before departure time. Please have your booking reference and passenger details ready when checking-in. This will allow passengers to receive their boarding pass.
Passengers who have checked-in before arriving at the airport can head straight to security if no checked luggage is needed to be checked in.
Airport Check-in
Airport check-in opens 50 minutes before and closes 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Once check-in is done, please proceed to the gate as the boarding gate closes 15 to 20 minutes before departure.
Passengers are required to bring valid photographic identification to the airport as the airport staff would check the travellers' identity. Upon arriving at the airport, please proceed to the designated check-in area for the airline. Check-in desks should be clearly marked with the airline logo, ask airport staff if unsure. At Alternative Airlines, we recommend passengers to arrive at the airport 1.5 hours before departure to avoid any unexpected delays.
