Founded in 2017, Sundair is a German charter airline. The airline has two airport hubs — one in Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL) and one in Kassel Airport (KSF). The airline was given its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) in mid-2017 and flew its very first service — between Heraklion International Airport (HER) and Hurghada Internationa Airport (HRG) — in the same year.
Sundair flights offer an in-flight menu with various food, snack and drink options. If you require a vegetarian or gluten-free food, you put in a request online or contact the airline at least 48 hours before your flight departs to let them know. In 2019, it was announced that the airline would open bases in both Bremen and Dresden that would serve a number of destinations in Spain and Greece. The airline aims to replace a number of routes served by the now defunct Germania.
Baggage Policy
Sundair has a different baggage policy for carry-on and checked baggage.
Carry-on Baggage
Passengers flying on Sundair are allowed to bring on one item of carry-on baggage that must not exceed 6kg in weight. The carry-on baggage must also be no larger than the dimensions of 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. Sundair also states that passenger can't carry more than 10 liquid containers in their carry-on baggage.
Checked Baggage
Passengers flying on Sundair are entitled to one item up checked baggage that must not weigh more than 20kg. Infants (aged 2 years or younger) are allowed to bring pushchairs, buggies, cots and car seats as checked baggage, this will contribute towards the 20kg baggage allowance.
Check-in
Sundair passengers must check-in at the airport, as the airline doesn't offer online check-in.
