Buy Sky Cana Flights with Alternative Airlines
Sky Cana is a Dominican passenger and charter airline founded in 2012. The airline initially began operating cargo flights only and since 2021 also began offering passenger services, The airline has partnered with Air Century, Sky High and Vaca.do to sell tickets and operate services for its chartered flights. Sky Cana operates services to a range of destinations across the Caribbean, Central America and the US. The airline operates a fleet of Airbus A321, Embraer E145, Saab 340, Bombardier CRJ200 on its passenger services but also utilises Boeing 737-300F and ATR 72 F aircraft for cargo-only services. The airline hopes in the future to also welcome the Airbus A330 to its fleet. Sky Cana wants to promote Dominican hospitality so will not compete directly with low-cost carriers on services to the Dominican Republic but will offer economy and business class, complimentary luggage as well as drinks and meals included.
Baggage Policy

Carry-on Baggage
The airline allows passengers to bring 1 item of cabin baggage on board with them. However, this mustn't exceed 8kg in weight.
Checked Baggage
Sky Cana also allows 1 checked case on your booking with the airline. You are allowed to bring a suitcase weighing up to 23 kg included in your ticket. As the airline operates as a charter airline on behalf of tour operators baggage policies may differ so please consult your tour organiser for their baggage allowances.
This baggage policy is only applicable for services between New York JFK and Santiago and Santo Domingo. Services with Sky High and Air Century may be different. Please visit their pages for more details.
Cabin Classes
Sky Cana only officially has 1 cabin class — Economy Class. However, a Business Class may be introduced in the future so keep checking back for updates.
Economy Class
Currently, the airline only offers an economy product onboard its aircraft. All passengers are treated to a complimentary meal including drinks as well as cabin baggage and a 23kg suitcase. The airline can carry 220 economy passengers on its A321, 50 passengers on the E145 and 30 passengers on the Saab 340.
Business Class
The airline doesn't currently offer a business class product, however, the airline hopes to welcome an Airbus A330 to its fleet. Sky Cana will have a business class product installed on this aircraft. More details on this will be provided once the airline takes delivery of the jet.
Check-In
Airport check-in is currently the only method used by Sky Cana.
Online Check-in
Online check-in facilities are not available meaning that you will be required to check-in at the airport. However, as the airline operates charter flights it may be possible that your tour operator allows online check-in, please check with them if this is an option.
Airport Check-in
The airline offers airport check-in facilities, please visit the Sky Cana desks upon arrival at the airline. Please note that if operating a service on behalf of a tour operator you may be required to visit their check-in facilities, details on this will be provided when booking your tickets. There isn't information available on the airline's check-in opening times, however, we recommend arriving at the airport no later than 90 minutes before your scheduled departure.
Frequent Flyer Programme
As Sky Cana operates as a charter airline, it doesn't offer a frequent flyer program for you to subscribe to.
Airline Alliance
Sky Cana is not currently a part of any airline alliance. However, it has partnerships with Logic Paq, CESAC, IDAC, JAC, Sky High, Avion Express, Air Century and Vaca.do.
In-Flight Entertainment
Sky Cana doesn't offer inflight entertainment or Wifi facilities. However, they do provide an inflight magazine for you to read. We recommend bringing your own entertainment to keep you occupied for the duration of the flight. Food & Drink
Sky Cana has stated that they will offer complimentary traditional Creole food onboard their flights. Creole is a cuisine type native to the Dominican Republic and surrounding areas.
