Monarch Airlines, also known as Monarch, officially ceased operations in October 2017.
Update as of the 19th of August 2023:
Monarch Airlines has announced that it will be returning to our skies in 2024. On the 28th of August new branding was revealed, featuring the updated iconic crown logo. Monarch has placed itself as a premium alternative to low-cost carriers based in the UK and aims to focus on operating similar routes to what it previously offered.
There are numerous gaps in the market that Monarch hope to fill when they begin their services in 2024.

Monarch Airlines, also known as and trading as Monarch, was a British airline based at Luton Airport.
Monarch operated scheduled flights to destinations in the Mediterranean, Canary Islands, Cyprus, Egypt, Greece and Turkey. The airline's headquarters was at Luton with other bases at Birmingham, Leeds/Bradford, Gatwick and Manchester.
Monarch Airlines was the UK's leading independent travel group with core activities in scheduled airline operations, tour operations and aircraft engineering.
