Transavia France (also trading as Transavia Airlines) is a French low-cost airline owned by Air France, KLM and Transavia Airlines, based at Paris Orly Airport. This airport is also hub for a number of airlines including HOP!, Twin Jet, French Bee and Aigle Azur.
Transavia France shares its operating model, corporate design, and website with Dutch sister company Transavia. The airline was established in November 2006 by Air France and began operating charter and scheduled flights in 2007.
Transavia France offers three different fares:
Basic includes ten kilogram hand luggage and a confirmed seat
Plus holds further amenities like one free piece of luggage of 20 kilogram, a dedicated seat reservation and flexible rebooking conditions.
Max additionally includes a free 30 kilogram piece of luggage and the usage of a fast lane at the security check for shorter waiting times before the flight.
Commencing 5 April 2011, Transavia introduced fees for hold luggage and changed the rules for hand luggage, with the maximum allowable weight for hand luggage increased from 5 kg to 10 kg.
Transavia France operates a frequent flyer program called Flying Blue Miles whereby choosing a Plus or Max Fare while booking flights to earn a set number of Award Miles.
This applies to only to flights operated by Transavia Netherlands. Adults can take 1 piece of hand baggage of up to 10 kg.
Transavia France flies to destinations in Africa, Europe and Asia.
