Aer Lingus is the national flag carrier airline of Ireland who's founded in 1936 and operates from its base at Dublin Airport. The Irish carrier flies to over 100 destinations including Aberdeen, Agadir, Alicante, Athens, Baltimore, Belfast, Berlin, Birmingham, Chicago, Copenhagen, Cork, Derry, Dusseldorf, Faro, Edinburgh, Lyon, Madrid, Milan, Munich, New York, Stuttgart, Toronto and many others. The carrier serves over 12 million passengers per year.
In 2015, the International Airlines Group (IAG) bought Aer Lingus shares from the Irish Government and Ryanair to complete the IAG's takeover. The airline was previously a member of the Oneworld Alliance. Still, it has no plans to re-enter the alliance despite most IAG airlines being a member of Oneworld.
The airline has codeshare agreements with Air Canada, British Airways, Etihad Airways, JetBlue Airways, KLM and United Airlines.
In 2021, the airline launched a sister company operating out of Manchester, England, called Aer Lingus UK.

Aer Lingus passengers are permitted to carry one piece of checked baggage, one piece of carry-on baggage and one personal item onboard their flight.
Passengers are permitted a carry on bag, weighing a maximum of 10kg. This item must be no more than 55 x 40 x 24 cm. Please note that Aer Lingus regional services baggage allowance is a 7kg bag that is no larger than 48 x 33 x 20cm.
In addition, passengers are permitted one small personal item, such as a small handbag, a laptop case, camera case or reading material.
Checked bags must not exceed the combined dimensions of 158cm and all bags must weigh less than 32kg.

Standard seats are the majority of seats on the aircraft. This seating is similar to what you would expect from Economy Class. Passengers flying standard can also choose 'Choice Seats', to be the first off the plane when you arrive, or 'Exit Seats', situated at the emergency exit rows, meaning extra legroom!

Aer Lingus' Premium Economy class 'AerSpace' is available on select flights from 1st September 2019 and provides passengers with more space and comfort. no matter what the passenger's needs are.
Premium Economy passenger are given lounge access, premium boarding and security, as well as refreshments from the airline's in-flight menu.
Seats are set out in a 3 x 3 formation, with the middle seat left vacant as to give each passenger on either side more room.

Passengers travelling in economy within Europe can purchase items from the ‘Bia’ menu. This menu features hot and cold means, such as a traditional Irish Breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, crisps, confectionery and cakes.
Passengers travelling transatlantic are given a complimentary meal. Passengers departing Ireland are given a hot lunch and a tasty evening snack, and passengers arriving in Ireland are given a hot dinner, and sometimes a hot breakfast sandwich on select flights.
Passengers on transatlantic flights can purchase additional meals from the Bia menu, either by pre-ordering or on board.
Aer Lingus offer passengers who are travelling to or from the U.S. the ability to order special meals. These must be requested online from the airline website at least 48 hours before departure, or 24 hours before when phoning the airline directly. The meals available are:
Travelling within Europe? Aer Lingus’ Bia menu allows passengers to purchase a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, such as spirits, beer, wine and also soft drinks.

Aer Lingus operates a frequent flyer program called AerClub to reward regular travellers.
