Writer describes trip to Iguazu Falls

Anyone booking TAM Airlines fights to Brazil may not want to miss out on the chance to see the area's famous Iguazu Falls.
Writing for TNT Magazine, Tom Sturrock described his visit to South America and the famous watery landmark - which is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country.

He explained that the falls, which lie next to the Argentinean border, are surrounded by a "lush green" landscape and thick jungle.

The largest of the water drops is Garganto do Diabo, or the Devil's Throat, the bottom of which cannot be seen due to the mist and foam that rises from it. Mr Sturrock continued: "The noise is ever-present - a ferocious, gushing white noise, like the sound you hear between your ears when dumped by a big wave."

He also spoke about abseiling down the falls, describing it as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that felt "alien" when he took his first steps over the edge.
