Holidaymakers hoping to get a taste of Central America may want to consider booking COPA Airlines trips to Panama for the National Festival of La Mejorana in September.
The event takes place at Guarare and features music acts and examples of traditional dancing.
Some of the country's finest folklore bands will converge on the area to take part in the festival, which is a celebration of the mejorana - an instrument similar to a guitar.
There will also be parades featuring ox carts and a festival queen will be crowned during the festivities.
The inaugural gathering was held in 1949 and was established to be an "exploration" of the nation's cultural history.
While in the country, visitors may want to head to Anton in October for the Festival of the Handsome Bull, which also features dancing and cattle parades.
