Following the recent separation of scheduled service carrier Viking Hellas Airlines (VQ) and Charter operator Fly Hellas (VKH), Viking Hellas Airlines is pleased to announce its flying programme from Manchester.
From: 01 April - 30 September 2011, the airline will operate two flights per week to Athens using an Airbus A320 aircraft.
The flights will depart Manchester at 1300 on Thursdays and Fridays, arriving in Athens at 1900.
The return flights depart Athens at 1000 arriving Manchester at 1200.
The flight numbers are VQ701 and VQ702.
These flights have easy onward connections once weekly to the Iraqi cities of Erbil and Sulaimayniah.
The Friday flight allows a through flights without change of aircraft from Manchester to Erbil at the following timings;
Manchester depart 1200 (Friday) arrives Erbil 2330 (Friday) VQ701/717
Erbil depart 0430 (Thursday) arrive Manchester 1200 (Thursday) VQ718/792
The Thursday flight allows a through flight without change of aircraft from Manchester to Sulaimayniah at the following timings:
Manchester depart 1300 (Thursday) arrives Sulaimayniah 0100 (Friday) VQ701/735
Sulaimayniah depart 0430 (Thursday) arrives Manchester 1200 (Friday) VQ736/702
Viking Hellas also operates scheduled services from Amsterdam, Athens, Frankfurt and Stockholm to the Iraqi cities of Erbil, Sulaimayniah and Baghdad.
