Holidaymakers planning on taking Vietnam Airlines flights to south-east Asia may be able to make use of a new airport near Ho Chi Minh City.
Those who are heading to Vietnam for their breaks could soon be able to travel to other nations in the area via a "mega airport", reports the Independent.
It will be situated just 50 km from downtown Ho Chi Minh City and should be able to accommodate about 52 million passengers by 2035.
Currently, the largest transport hub in the country can cope with approximately 12 million each year.
Premier Nguyen Tan Dung said: "The construction of the airport ... will create a network to connect air transportation for the whole region."
Some $10 billion (£6 billion) has been earmarked for the project.
People planning to book Vietnam Airlines flights to the country before the new airport is completed may want to ensure they are in the country on September 2nd for the National Day of Vietnam.
