Vacationers planning a break in south-east Asia may benefit from the addition of extra flights to domestic routes by Vietnam Airlines.
The company has announced that during the peak summer period between July 1st and August 15th, there will be more than 1,350 additional flights available on 12 of its domestic routes, reports Vietnam News.
Among the locations that may become easier for travellers to get to are Nha Trang, Da Lat, Phu Quoc and Con Dao islands.
The Hanoi to Ho Chi Ming City route will see an increase in the total number of seats available to more than 460,000.
Nguyen Hoang Dung, a representative of Vietnam Airlines, stated: "With the increase of flights, Vietnam Airlines expects to ease overload due to increased travel demand."
In total, the additional flights will provide an extra 1.6 million seats for holidaymakers and domestic travellers, up 12 per cent compared with the same period in 2010.
Last month, the carrier announced that extra flights would be available for those moving between Kuala Lumpur and Hanoi.
