National Carrier, Vietnam Airlines has ordered six new Airbus A380 aircraft.
The contract is valued at almost £1.1bn according to Airbus list prices. The Vietnam Airlines deal with Airbus also includes two A350 XWB-900 wide-bodies.
The Hanoi-based carrier has announced plan to double its fleet to more than 100 planes by 2015 and triple it to 150 by 2020 as the country’s economy improves.
