Expanding national carrier, Vietnam Airlines, last night announced that it will start flying direct services to London Gatwick from both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Alternative Airlines were invited to the launch workshop in London's west End to hear the dynamic airline President, Mr Pham Ngoc Minh, set the scene for the new direct flights to start before the end of 2011 and in his closing speech announced that the airline had chosen London Gatwick as their UK arrival airport. Mr Pham Ngoc Minh was supported by senior members of his executive team who outlined the amazing growth in terms of aircraft fleet, numbers of passengers carried and quality of service over the last ten years, plus they showed us an aggressive - but achievable - expansion plan for the years ahead. Alternative Airilnes will be working hard to support the new direct services which operate alongside their existing European flights to Paris, Frankfurt and Moscow. In particular the Vietnam Airlines presentation set out how Vietnam Airlines is the perfect airline for passengers who wish to travel within the region of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam (CLMV) which as a region full of wonderful and unique tourist sites is one which we know Alternative Airlines passengers will wish to explore.
