Vietnam Airlines adds new routes

Vietnam Airlines is adding new flight routes to cope with an expected surge in demand during Tet.   Between January 27th and February 1st, as well as February 4th and 14th, 90 additional services will be introduced, Vietnam.net reports.

Furthermore, the airline is changing the check-in location for Hanoi-HCMC night flights taking off from Noi Bai Airport between February 6th and 20th, meaning passengers will now be dealt with on the first floor instead of the second.

While 24 extra services will be added to the HCMC-Hue route, 18 additional flights will travel on the HCMC-Ca Mau route, the news provider continued. It was also revealed by the carrier that there are still business class seats available before and after Tet, which is the most popular festival in the country.

Vietnam Airlines was first established in 1956 and originally consisted of five aircraft, which catered for domestic travellers, before being expanded at the end of the 1970s.
