Brits who cannot wait until November 5th for a stunning fireworks display may want to book last minute Air Transat flights to Canada for the Celebration of Light.
The fireworks festival kicks off on July 30th and draws to a close on August 6th, but during this time, attendees will be treated to three spectacular shows.
China opens the celebrations with its China Storm display on the first night and on August 3rd, Spain will put on its Odyssey routine.
On the final evening, the host nation will showcase its own Then and Now display, which those who attend may be hoping will be even more beautiful than its predecessors as it is held on the closing night.
However, Canada's team may have its work cut out to eclipse the other performances, as last year Spain was the winner of the competition and in 2009 it was China who emerged as the victor.
While in the country, those with flights to Vancouver may want to participate in the city's Chinatown Festival, which takes place during August.
