Ural Airlines, based in Koltsovo International Airport, Yekaterinberg has announced the launch of a new service from Ufa to Dushanbe and Khujand in Tajikistan from April 2010.

The new flights will operate fortnightly on Saturdays using an Airbus A320. Ural Airlines already flies from Dushanbe and Khujand to Yekaterinburg plus Dushanbe to Irkuts, Krasnodar, Perm and Samara as well as from Kulob to Moscow and Samara. Ural Airlines also has a codeshare agreement with Malév Hungarian Airlines. Ural has announced plans to retire its An-24s, Il-86s and Tu-154s in 2010 when it is scheduled to take delivery of its first of ten Sukhoi Superjet 100s it has on order. It has also leased seven ex-Iberia A320-200 and will add an ex-Thomson Airways A320-200 later this year.
