UK passengers figures down but Alternative Airlines continues to grow due to Global reach

The UK's Civil Aviation Authority has just announced that UK airports handled 7.4% fewer passengers in 2009 over 2008, the biggest annual decline since records began 65 years ago.and the first time passengers figures have fallen two years in a row.   Whilst Alternative Airlines is based in the UK, it is true to say that our growing customer base is from all over the world. For example the first four bookings past the post after mid night last night came from New Zealand, the USA, Cyprus and Australia, hence despite the decline in our home market, we have continued to grow throughout 2008 and 2009. As we develop it becomes clearer and clearer that the internet know not National boundaries, but only those associated with language, unfortunately neither the airline industry nor the banking/credit card industry operate in a truly global fashion and its sometimes hard to find ways to help potential customers who we would like to serve... but we are working on the opportunities to extend our reach - both in terms of languages and payment methods. 2010 is a year where we need to meet the challenges of better serving our international customer base, as well as bringing more airlines to our existing loyal UK based friends. Our slogan for 2010 is "Its a small world" - our ambition is to make it even smaller by connecting personally to global communities.
