Turkey’s national air carrier THY - Turkish Airlines will commence flights to Jakarta, Indonesia later this week.

The inaugural flight will operate to Jakarta began on Thursday 10th September 2009 at 2320 hours from Istanbul. Turkish State Minister Mehmet Simsek and Chairperson of the THY Executive Board Candan Karlitekin are among the passengers of THY’s first flight to Jakarta. The flight will operate via Singapore. with a total flight time duration of approximately 13 hours. The service is planned to operate thereafter five times each week departing from Istanbul every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunda
