Craig Mitchell, a spokesman at Busabout Europe, said infrastructure within countries in the region is improving.

Earlier this month, Albania was ranked 71 in the World Economic Forum's Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index, up 19 places from its position in the same report published in 2009, news that might entice travellers to consider a break in the Eastern European nation.
