Holidaymakers considering booking flights to Moscow may have more options in the future as the Russian carrier announced recently that more planes will be acquired.
It has already added one Boeing 747 - which seats 522 passengers - and this will operate on routes that have a high number of tourists.
The acquisition of the wide-body long-haul aircraft takes the number of these planes in Transaero's fleet up to 15.
As well as these, the firm also has eight Boeing 777s, 12 Boeing 767s and 22 Boeing 737s.
The second-largest passenger airline in Russia serves more than 100 destinations in Russia, Europe, Asia, America and Africa.
Last month, Transaero announced that its summer 2011 schedule will offer flights on 130 routes - almost double the number offered the previous year.
