Transaero increases it fleet

Russian carrier Transaero has revealed that it recently added a new aircraft to its fleet, taking the total number of planes operated by the firm up to 65.

Flights to MoscowIts new Boeing 747-400 is one of five that are being acquired from the national carrier of Singapore and it has already been utilised along the Moscow to Khabarovsk route.

The company revealed that the aircraft has four classes of seating for customers to select from, ranging from economy through to imperial.

On the inaugural flight for Transaero made by its latest acquisition, the firm opted to introduce new tableware for customers in the business and economy classes.

With the addition of the latest plane, Transaero now has 17 Boeing 747s as well as 45 other aircraft made by the firm.

Last month, the company started offering customers in Toronto direct flights to Moscow on its Boeing 777s.

It asserted that this is the first time travellers have been able to move between the two cities on a non-stop flight on an aircraft offering such a high level of comfort and speed.
