It is much quieter on the phones today as Europe's airports are all re-opened and passengers begin to find their way back to their eventual destinations.
It has been a unique week, full of drama, sad stories of missed weddings, parties, re-unions and lost trips of a lifetime. We have worked hard to try and get the possible result for all of our affected passengers including re-routes, re-books and refunds where applicable and got some positive feedback in the process.

The lesson we have all learned, I think, is never to take the privilege of living in the age of easy Air Travel for granted and when nature wants to intervene man and machine is no match for her. Certainly we have some of our basic assumptions challenged and have had to respond in ways which even our most experienced agents had never anticipated being required. Most of all we've have appreciated the wonderful humour and understanding which has characterised many of the most distressing calls from passengers whose situation appeared the worst.
I am personally glad its over and now we can back to the real business of building Alternative Airlines into a world class organisation for passengers who want to fly on lesser known airlines to more exotic destinations, that's enough of a daily challenge .. for me.
