

TAP has announced the launch a new route between Lisbon and Algiers from 26th November 2009.
TAP is strategically strengthening its presence in the African market by also increasing the number of weekly flights between Lisbon and Casablanca to 12 flights per week plus three flights per week to Bissau and five flights per week to Praia.
TAP currently serves nine destinations in eight African countries. Recent developments include Lisbon to Luanda increasing from one daily flight to ten flights per week.
Other African destinations include Dakar, also with ten flights per week, Sal, with six, Maputo/Johannesburg, with three, another to Maputo and one flight a week to São Tomé.
There are also plans to extend operations in Cape Verde to the island of São Vicente, with direct flights from Lisbon as soon as its airport is certified.
