Today we were visited by Steve from TAM airlines with news of what's happening at Brazil's hottest carrier.. Currently TAM are flying a Boeing 777 across the Atlantic from Heathrow to Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, but its the onwards connections to 42 destinations within Brazil and 10 more across South America  that are really interesting to us at Alternative Airlines.  However here are some other important news items:
From March 28th 2010 TAM will move into its new London home in Heathrow's Terminal 1
From May 2010, TAM will become a full member of the prestigious STAR Alliance, alongside Air Canada, Lufthansa, TAP Portugal and United Airlines.  
From February 2010, TAM will offer First Class on its transatlantic flights with : A choice on 5 (five) dishes from the menu prepared by top class chefs; Fully reclining seats: individual charge points for mobiles and laptops; individual telephones; 23" individual screens and interactive on board entertainment.

Steve also told us who regularly flies in their first class cabin, but he also said we can't  write about them , so to those sport people, media stars and  world famous models who choose TAM to Brazil.. you secret's safe with us !
