Sri Lankan Airlines has announced  plans to add more destinations and increase frequencies on existing routes as it expands. The Airline also intends to  raise its fleet to 20 aircraft from the current complement of 12 Airbus aircraft. Sri Lankan will start flying from its home base to to Shanghai, in China and also  to Jakarta plus plans to increase the frequency of flights to Tokyo.
