SpiceJet launches Q400 Services from Hyderabad

SpiceJet launches Q400 Services from Hyderabad

Flights to Delhi with SpiceJetIndian Low Cost Airline, SpiceJet, will commence operations from its new Hyderabad hub tomorrow, Wednesday 21st September.

The Hyderabad hub represents a significant new business strategy for the Delhi-based airline.

Using a brand new fleet of Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft, SpiceJet will open up a variety of regional destinations in India that have never before been served with high-frequency budget flights.

Four of the new aircraft have already been delivered, out of a total of thirty on order. Configured with 78 seats, the turbo-prop Q400 brings jet airliner standards of comfort and efficiency to short-haul routes. The inflight product will fully match SpiceJet's all Boeing 737 jet fleet, which will continue to operate on longer sectors throughout the Indian Subcontinent.

New destinations from Hyderabad will be Aurangabad, Bhopal, Indore, Madurai, Mangalore, Rajahmundry, Tirupati, Trivandrum and Vijayawada, all of which will be served by SpiceJet for the first time. In addition the present indirect services between Hyderabad and Goa, Nagpur and Pune will now be upgraded to non-stop flights using the Q400 in place of Boeing 737s.

Confiming the new schedule, SpiceJet CEO commented, "SpiceJet is bringing this game changing aircraft to these new cities and we look forward to bringing these superior aircraft to more cities in the future.”

Alternative Airlines has been appointed United Kingdom Passenger Sales Agent for SpiceJet and is ready to take bookings by phone (0871 222 9222) for all of these new routes.
