SpiceJet gets competition from IndiGo on Delhi to Kathmandu route

Spicejet logoFast growing Indian low cost carrier, IndiGo has launched a new daily service between its home base in Delhi (DEL) and the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu (KTM) in Nepal. This follows recent internatinal route launches to Bangkok , Dubai and Singapore, all from Delhi and Mumbai plus Muscat from Mumbai. Indigo goes into direct competition with India's most dynamic low cost carrier, SpiceJet ,who operate twice daily on the route from Delhi to Kathmandu. Also Air India, Jet Airways , Jet Lite, Kingfisher and Nepal Airlines all operate flights between the two capital cities.

Alternative Airlines has a special relationship with SpiceJet, please call us on 0871 2229222 (44 1293 874920) to make bookings for flights to Kathmandu from Delhi. For UK originating passengers we have an arrangement where there is no need to enter India at Delhi Airport before transferring directly from a Virgin Atlantic flight from London to the SpiceJet flight to Kathmandu. This means that, by prior arrangement, your luggage can be passed directly from Virgin to SpeiceJet who use the same terminal in Delhi and there is no need to purchase a visa to enter India as you will not need to exit from the transit area . This make a price competitive way to get to and from Kathmandu. Please call us for details.
