Spanair

Spanair is a Spanish airline based in Barcelona.

Spanair Airlines

As well as operating worldwide charters, Spanair flies scheduled services from Spain to many European destinations. It is also a member of the Star Alliance.

Its main hub is El Prat Airport in Barcelona, but with significant flying programmes also from Barajas Airport in Madrid and Son Sant Joan Airport in Palma de Mallorca.

For 2010 international destinations include: Algiers, Oran, Banjul, Marrakech, Nador,,Tangier, Tel Aviv, Zagreb, Copenhagen,Frankfurt, Munich, Marseille, Venice, Dublin, Belgrade, Stockholm, Istanbul, Birmingham and Edinburgh.

Spanair Flights to Spain

Spanair is one of Spain’s best leisure airlines and that makes it one of the best leisure airlines in the world. It started as a charter carrier ferrying Scandinavians to their annual Spanish vacations but has grown into a something much more important. Once part of SAS Scandinavian Airlines Group, since 2009 SAS have become only minority shareholders with the company controlled by Catalan businesses.

Spanair has a fleet of 43 aircraft including 15 MD (82/83) with 120/170 seats. 19 AIRBUS 320 with 156-180 seats 5 AIRBUS 321 with 212 seats and 4 BOEING 717 with 115 seats.
