South Pacific Express (SPEX) has cancelled all flights from 22nd September 2009. 

SPEX CEO, John McNeely, has blamed a deterioration in ecenomic conditions for the airline failure.The small inter island airline has been operating for four years and employed over 30 people split between Samoa and American Samoa. The suspension of SPEX flights leaves only Polynesian and Inter Island Air flying between Samoa and American Samoa.
