

Solomon Airlines, who use the slogan "the best little airline in the Pacific", has been granted its own Australian Foreign Air Operators Certificate licence, which allows them to operate their own Airbus A320-212 on the scheduled service between Brisbane and Honiara.
Based in Brisbane, the new Solomon Airlines Airbus will perform its first commercial scheduled flight on Monday morning, the 12th September 2011, flying from Brisbane to Honiara and return. Solomon Airlines currently operates four services per week out from Brisbane to Honiara.
Seating capacity on the new aircraft is 20 business class seats and 120 in economy giving great leg room in both classes. In-flight entertainment, including movies, music and destination service information, is available on the new service, in addition to the high standard in-flight catering service.
