Solomon Airlines has been granted permission to launch a new service from its base in Honiara to the capital of Papua New Guinea, Port Moresby. The new service will be flown using the airlines brand new Airbus A330-200 aircraft which arrived in the Solomon Islands in September. 
The flights will operate once weekly every Monday from Honiara to Port Moresby returning every Tuesday from Port Moresby to Honiara.The flights will provide excellent connections to Singapore and Hong Kong and Port Moresby originating passengers will also connect through to Port Vila in Vanuatu and Nadi in Fiji. Port Moresby is also the main operating base of the national airline of PNG, Air Niugini.
