I was just writing a blog entry about the probable merger of the two major airlines in our of favourite parts of the world,
Papua New Guinea, when reports started coming in about the loss of an aircraft from the Airlines PNG fleet with considerable fatalities. So instead of adding my positive thoughts about airlines PNG and Air Niugini merging I will replace the entry with the an acknowledgement that our thoughts, hopes and deepest sympathy go out to the survivors, families, relatives and staff who are involved in today's tragic accident at Madang.
