Safe Air Company, abbreviated to Safe Air is a Kenyan charter airline offering both passenger and cargo services. The airline predominantly serves destinations across the African continent as well as the UAE and is based at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The airline was founded in 2001, however, in November 2019 the Kenyan Civil Aviation Authority suspended the airline's Air Operating Certificate, which has since been reinstated.
The airline operates a diverse fleet of aircraft with a Boeing 727-200 VIP, Challenger 850 VIP, Citation 550 VIP, AS350 Helicopter and Airbus A330-200 used for passenger services. The airline also uses a fleet of C160 Freighter, Boeing 727-200 Freighter and Boeing 757-200 Freighter aircraft for their cargo charters.

Carry-on Baggage
Safe Air hasn't publicly published its cabin baggage policy. As a general rule, passengers are usually permitted 1 piece of carry-on baggage that cannot weigh more than 7kg as well as 1 personal item onboard the aircraft. Personal items can include a handbag, a laptop, a camera, etc.
Safe Air operates charter services therefore you may need to enquire directly with the airline about its specific baggage allowance rules.
Checked Baggage
Similarly, the airline has also not published its checked baggage policy. However, if chartering services from the airline this will be communicated with the charterer.
Generally, your checked baggage may not exceed a weight of 23kg, however, this differs per airline. You may be charged an extra fee if your checked baggage exceeds the maximum dimension and weight restrictions.
Cabin Classes
The airline hasn't published information on its cabin configuration. However, it appears that the airline's Airbus A330 aircraft is configured in an all-economy layout. As the airline also operates a fleet of VIP aircraft, travellers can expect more luxurious seats and features with more attentive service.

Safe Air passengers must check in at the airport since the airline doesn't offer online check-in.
Online Check-in
Safe Air currently doesn't offer online check-in facilities so you will be required to do so at the airport.
Airport Check-in
It is expected that the airline will offer airport check-in facilities. It is currently unsure if these will come at an additional surcharge similar to Ryanair or if this will be a free service for all passengers.
Food & Drink
Safe Air hasn't published whether they offer an in-flight food and beverage service. However, this may be likely as you could be travelling on a long haul or VIP aircraft. Information regarding this may be provided by the airline when chartering a flight from them.
In-Flight Entertainment
It is unsure whether the airline offers inflight entertainment or wifi on its aircraft. However, it may be anticipated that in-flight entertainment is available as the aircraft operated are both VIP and long-haul aircraft.

Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is the major international airport for Nairobi which handles around 7-9 million passengers annually. The airport has 2 terminals, terminal 1 is split into 5 handling both domestic and international services with terminal 2 focusing on low-cost operations. The airport offers a wide range of airlines and destinations with the airport being a hub of operations for Kenya Airways, Jambojet, Fly540, African Express Airways and Safe Air. Safe Air in Kenya grows its fleet with Boeing 777s and secures a wet-leased A330
Nairobi-based Safe Air is expanding its fleet with two Boeing 777-200ERs, thanks to a deal with Air Charter Service (ACS). These aircraft are set to enter service in late 2023 and will bolster the airline's presence in the ACMI and charter market. Safe Air is also wet-leasing an A330-200 for Hajj pilgrimage flights. Their fleet includes Boeing 727s and they have plans to venture into scheduled international flights. The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority granted Safe Air non-scheduled domestic and international air service licenses in May 2022.
