Rwandair has announced plans to buy two single-aisle aircraft from either Airbus or Boeing for delivery in 2011. In the interim Rwandair will lease two aircraft to bridge the gap before the new jets arrive. Future fleet forecasts show that the carrier will acquire up to six aircraft over the next five years subject to demand and aircraft availability. Rwandair recently bought two CRJ200s from Lufthansa that are due to arrive in the fleet soon.
