Rwandair gets first of two new Boeing 737-500's

Rwandair, the national airline of Rwanda, has incorporated the first of two leased Boeing 737-500 aircraft into its growing fleet of aircraft.
The new aircraft arrived at the airlines home base at the international airport in Kigali.

This aircraft plus the second one which is due to arrive in August 2010 are leased from GECAS and will fly for RwandAir until the two newly ordered B737-800 new generation Boeings arrive in 2011 The new aircraft will be used on the route between Kigali and  Johannesburg to meet increased demand for the duration of the FIFA World Cup and will also fly the new route from Kigali to Kinshasa in the Congo DR.
