

Plans to improve the offerings of Russia's north Caucasus tourism sector could lead to more people booking Transaero flights to the country in the coming years.
Alexander Radkov, head of the federal Agency on Tourism, asserted the region has many unique elements that could make it attractive to vacationers and travellers, reports Vestnik Kavkaza.
"The development of inner and incoming tourism in Russia for 2011-18 federal target programme should be the base for effective work," he said.
He asserted that Derbent could become one of the nation's key tourism centres in the future.
The southernmost city in Russia, Derbent is thought to be one of the oldest in the country and it features archaeological sites that date back more than 5,000 years.
President of Dagestan, Magomedsalam Magomedov told the publication that the Dagestan region has great potential because of its numerous beaches.
He suggested that its 600 km of coastline is likely to prove an attraction to young people.
