Movie buffs may want to book Blue Air flights to Bucharest next month for the Anonimul International Independent Film Festival.

The event gets underway on August 8th and runs until August 14th and those who take flights to Bucharest and travel on to Sfantu Gheorghe will be treated to free showings each night starting at 20:45 local time.

Film fans who attend will be able to watch the cinematic offerings on a giant screen outside, or at rooms in the Green Village Cinema Complex if they have an invitation.

Last year, the winner of the feature film competition was Zero, directed by Pawel Borowski of Poland, while the short movie gongs were claimed by France's Joel Oliver for his movie Someday I'll Be Zorro and America's Sam Chen who entered a piece called Amazonia.

Among the directors to have been honoured at other past events include Pedro Almodovar and Peter Greenaway.

Those who are in Romania this month may want to head to the Sighisoara Fortress where the Sighisoara Medieval Festival takes place between July 27th and 31st.
