The Rio Carnival could be the perfect event to entertain anyone who books
flights to Brazil with
TAM Airlines this spring.

Taking place between March 5th and 8th, the celebration sees Rio de Janeiro welcome hundreds of thousands of people who wish to experience the spectacle, Journey Latin America explains.
Some of the carnival parades last throughout the night and participants dance on top of colourful floats wearing stunning costumes to entertain the crowds.
The best Samba schools around take part in the competition and judges lining the parade route mark them on everything from their costumes to their enthusiasm, dancing ability and discipline.
It is not only Rio de Janeiro where travellers can enjoy the festivities, as the likes of Salvador and Florianopolis also have bands playing and plenty of lively entertainment on offer.
The carnival ends just before the start of lent and its excess is considered to be a final farewell to the pleasures of the flesh.
