Pluna of Uruguay has purchased seven Bombadier CRJ 900 aircraft in a contract which at book price would be worth $200 million.
This purchase will double the total operating fleet of Bombadier aircraft to a total of 14 of which three of the new aircraft will arrive in 2010 with the next 4 in 2011. The airline said it has invested nearly $200 million over the last three years, since the Leadgate private equity group bought a 75% stake in the company.
